According to the crime scene detectives, a man by the name of Peter Griffin was sitting with his wife and children in a nice park outside of the city. Peter, a early forties above-class business man, was then approached by a man. The man's name was Jerry Springer. Jerry, a mid-thirty year old man that was slightly overweight began to talk with Peter.
Peter's wife recalled that at first, all Jerry was talking about was small talk. Stating, "He was unusual, the first thing he said to my Husband was he had been to the zoo and when Peter didn't notice him, he began to speak louder as if begging for his attention." She went on to talk about how Jerry would ask all these random questions like what kind of pets they had, if they planned on having anymore children, where they lived, etc.
Jerry even told Peter he was crazy! But Jerry was also manipulative. At one point after finding out every detail of Peter Griffin's life, Jerry tells Peter he wants his bench. When Peter refuses, Jerry goes on to say
" Why? You have everything in the world you want;
you've told me about your home, and your family, and your
own little zoo. You have everything, and now you want this
bench. Are these the things men fight for ? Tell me, Peter,
is this bench, this iron and this wood, is this your honour?
Is this the thing in the world you'd fight for ? Can you think
of anything more absurd?"
He goes on to tell Jerry to fight for his bench. To stand up against Jerry and Peter becomes very hesitant. He's already screamed for the police but no one came to his rescue. He's tried to sit there and be patient with Jerry. Most importantly though he's tried to leave but Jerry wouldn't let him. Then finally, Mr. Springer pulls a knife and throws it on the ground in front of Peter. Then Jerry Springer charges at Peter Griffin and Peter picks up the knife in self-defense and stabs Jerry right through the left Lung.
Jerry lays on the sidewalk stating "Peter Griffin, YOU ARE AT THE ZOO!"then passes as the ambulance arrives. Jerry was pronounced dead at 3:34 on Sunday afternoon and the story made front page of the New York Times the next day.
The truth is I believe that Jerry suffered from severe depression. He asked Peter several times about his kids, wife, pets, house, and job. Almost as if at one time Jerry had all of these things but then they were thrown out the window. Jerry turned Peter into the scared, unprotected man that Jerry had always felt like himself. Jerry thought that the ultimate punishment he could put on someone of such "high social standard" would be killing an "innocent" and unarmed person.
Jerry did However almost win. Peter was charged with second degree murder and was put behind bars for fourteen months without visitation rights. However, after much publicity from Nancy Grace and CNN the case was dropped by none other than the infamous Judge Judy. Peter did have to go under a psycho-evaluation prior to being released from the New York state penitentiary but he was able to pick up from where he left off a little over a year ago.
As for me, this was my final case at the Institute. I figured I would retire and go back to Charleston, SC. I had visited there once as a young boy and I've always wanted to go back and try to live there. I took an early retirement and figured I would try to enjoy whats left of my life fishing and playing golf.

For Every Action, There's an Equal and Opposite Reaction.
The next case I had to check into was the one that caused me
to get my job. Apparently the psychologists before me had failed to do her job
and let a young boy by the name of Hamlet go back into the everyday world.
Although the psychologists knew that this boy was seeking revenge she let him
go because she felt bad for the poor kid.
Hamlet
came from a rather wealthy family from Europe. He was next in line to take over
his father’s business. However, Hamlet Senior, Hamlet’s father, passed very
suddenly and Hamlet became very suspicious. He was suspicious because his
mother married his uncle within a day of his father’s death.
According
to the previous psychologist’s notes, Hamlet was a drama major at a prestigious
institute near his hometown and he had to produce a new play to be performed
within months of his father’s death. So he decided to produce a play that
re-enacted his father’s murder. His uncle and now his new stepdad along with
Hamlet’s mom showed up to the play and when the Climax of the play draws near,
his uncle leaves and heads outside to pray.
With
the reaction he received from his uncle, Hamlet was sure that his uncle had
murdered his father. So he followed him out and held a pistol out towards his
uncle. But, he hesitated and luckily his uncle turned to look at shouted for
help before Hamlet could say what he wanted to and pull the trigger. His uncle
and mother soon after, convinced him that he might need to take a break from
school and come to the Institute here.
Soon
after he had quit seeing his girlfriend
(right after a tremendous argument in which he said he would never want to
marry her) and lost one of his best friends that was trying to get the inside
scoop on what was going on so that he could tell everyone else at the
institute. He headed towards our Institute here.
Unfortunately,
Hamlet developed a friendship with one of the doctors. That doctor just so
happened to be the one that signed off on his release statement to say that he
was completely sane and in the norm. Sadly, Hamlet’s ex-girlfriend passed away
and it triggered his emotions back into a downward spiral. He soon went back to
his house with a pistol in search of his uncle. He met him in the kitchen and
Hamlet’s uncle knocked the gun out of his hand.
They
were swinging at each other and then both managed to get a knife. Hamlet was
stronger because he was younger and in a final attack he stabbed his uncle in
the left lung. As he did, His uncle stabbed Hamlet in the stomach. Both
astonished and in shock, they both went to the tile floor. His uncle died only
a few minutes after the incident. Hamlet was found hours later and was rushed
to the hospital by ambulance but later died that night.
The
previous psychologist that worked failed to do her job and because of her
failing to do it, two people lost their lives. Hamlet suffered from
abandonment. He felt that those people that supported him and loved him had all
turned their backs on him for their own selfish reasons, killing his father in
the process. The trauma of such events occurring all in such a short period of
time could of cause a number of issues but, he would have probably went on to
live a normal life with continuous counseling and a daily anti-depressant. Hamlet
was not insane, however he was clinically depressed.
