It's both Mine and Jerry's last story.

           According to the crime scene detectives, a man by the name of Peter Griffin was sitting with his wife and children in a nice park outside of the city. Peter, a early forties above-class business man, was then approached by a man. The man's name was Jerry Springer. Jerry, a mid-thirty year old man that was slightly overweight began to talk with Peter.

           Peter's wife recalled that at first, all Jerry was talking about was small talk. Stating, "He was unusual, the first thing he said to my Husband was he had been to the zoo and when Peter didn't notice him, he began to speak louder as if begging for his attention." She went on to talk about how Jerry would ask all these random questions like what kind of pets they had, if they planned on having anymore children, where they lived, etc.

            Jerry even told Peter he was crazy! But Jerry was also manipulative. At one point after finding out every detail of Peter Griffin's life, Jerry tells Peter he wants his bench. When Peter refuses, Jerry goes on to say

" Why? You have everything in the world you want;
you've told me about your home, and your family, and your
own little zoo. You have everything, and now you want this
bench. Are these the things men fight for ? Tell me, Peter,
is this bench, this iron and this wood, is this your honour?
Is this the thing in the world you'd fight for ? Can you think
of anything more absurd?"

             He goes on to tell Jerry to fight for his bench. To stand up against Jerry and Peter becomes very hesitant. He's already screamed for the police but no one came to his rescue. He's tried to sit there and be patient with Jerry. Most importantly though he's tried to leave but Jerry wouldn't let him. Then finally, Mr. Springer pulls a knife and throws it on the ground in front of Peter. Then Jerry Springer charges at Peter Griffin and Peter picks up the knife in self-defense and stabs Jerry right through the left Lung.

             Jerry lays on the sidewalk stating "Peter Griffin, YOU ARE AT THE ZOO!"then passes as the ambulance arrives. Jerry was pronounced dead at 3:34 on Sunday afternoon and the story made front page of the New York Times the next day.

            The truth is I believe that Jerry suffered from severe depression. He asked Peter several times about his kids, wife, pets, house, and job. Almost as if at one time Jerry had all of these things but then they were thrown out the window. Jerry turned Peter into the scared, unprotected man that Jerry had always felt like himself. Jerry thought that the ultimate punishment he could put on someone of such "high social standard" would be killing an "innocent" and unarmed person.

              Jerry did However almost win. Peter was charged with second degree murder and was put behind bars for fourteen months without visitation rights. However, after much publicity from Nancy Grace and CNN the case was dropped by none other than the infamous Judge Judy. Peter did have to go under a psycho-evaluation prior to being released from the New York state penitentiary but he was able to pick up from where he left off a little over a year ago.

             As for me, this was my final case at the Institute. I figured I would retire and go back to Charleston, SC. I had visited there once as a young boy and I've always wanted to go back and try to live there. I took an early retirement and figured I would try to enjoy whats left of my life fishing and playing golf.
